Design details
Dedicated, modular bass units
The midbass is so important to the pace and dynamics that we use a dedicated amplifier channel and dedicated high power, high sensitivity 12" driver to this frequency range. Given the extreme capacity of the MANTA monitors, they require minimum two subwoofers to complement them.
Cardioid midrange
The vented midrange chamber reduces reflections from the side walls and the wall behind the speakers. The result is increased clarity and improved soundstage. This is what gives the MANTA its unique vocal performance, and ability to sound clear and tidy even on complex music productions. To perfect the midrange, ports are cut out on both sides of the coax driver resulting in ideal dispersion characteristics across the frequency range.
Cardioid midbass
The MANTA achieves cardioid like performance down to ~80hz, directing bass pressure towards the listener. The tight and consistent midbass experience is crucial for the rhythmic, dynamic nature of many music genres.
Fit & finish
The form meets function cabinet of the Manta is finished in satin white or black paint. This is combined with the base that features real wood walnut veneer, expertly applied in matched pairs for color consistency.
All Sigberg Audio speakers are built by hand in Norway, and they are measured and verified as matched pairs.

How to setup & enjoy
Unsure what to buy or how to set it up? Let us help!
Our speakers are active, so no power amplifier needed. A DAC, preamp or streamer with XLR/RCA preouts is all you need. They work well in most rooms out of the box. By simply pressing a button at the back of the speakers, you switch through presets that further tailor the speakers to your room or preference.
Want more advanced? Our speakers and subwoofers have built-in EQ. We offer free assistance with evaluating measurements and suggesting appropriate EQ adjustments!
BASS
Our speakers and corresponding bass units (subwoofers) integrate perfectly without any manual setup. If you have dual subs (recommended), you can connect them via the speakers (XLR through connection). Feel free to contact us to learn more.
MANTA LOUDSPEAKER STANDS
A pair of one-piece black steel stands (no assembly required) made exclusively for the Manta speakers is included with your purchase! They tilt the speakers 4 degrees and have a distinctive, retro look.
The stands rest on silicone feet that absorb vibrations and isolate the speakers from the floor.

Accurate manufacturing. Accurate sound.
The unique cardioid enclosure is achieved through a combination of simulation and experimental prototypes. The final result is unlike anything else - both in form and function.
The cabinet is precisely machined by 5-axis CNC machines and assembled by hand. The walnut veneered base is carefully matched for each speaker pair.
Custom loudspeaker stand
Included with your purchase is a heavy duty powder coated, one piece welded steel stand made in Norway especially for the Manta. The 5mm top plate makes it seem like the Manta is floating in the air.
Resting on the stand the Manta has a four degree tilt - carefully calculated for perfect frequency response at the listening position. The stand rests on cushy silicone feet to eliminate vibrations and decouple the speaker from the floor.
